How to Eliminate Racial Discrimination...

Why is Racism Still a Problem in 2018?

Racism is a problem that has existed for centuries. It is still a problem in the year 2022. With the advancement of technology, racism has found new ways to rear its ugly head. The internet has given people an outlet for their racist beliefs, and it's making it harder to get rid of them.
The internet gives people the opportunity to express their racist thoughts anonymously. They can post hateful comments without repercussions on social media sites like Twitter or Facebook. These comments are not only racist but also sexist, homophobic, and transphobic. They are coming from all over the world and they are targeting anyone who is different than them in any way shape or form.

What is Discrimination?

Discrimination is the act of treating, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person belongs rather than on individual qualities.
Discrimination is defined as an act in which one is treated differently from others because of their membership in a particular social group. Discrimination can be seen in many aspects of life including employment, housing and in education.

Why is it Important to Eliminate Racial Discrimination in the Workplace?

In the US, people of color are disproportionately unemployed. And when they do have jobs, they are often paid less than their white counterparts.
Eliminating racial discrimination in the workplace is a major step towards achieving equality at work. It means that employers will not be able to discriminate against people based on their race or ethnicity. They will also have to provide equal opportunities for all applicants and employees regardless of race or ethnicity.
The law prohibits employers from discriminating against employees on the basis of race, color, religion (including gender identity), national origin, age (40 years old and over), disability or genetic information.
